Cheryl L. Jensen, ACC, CPCC

Working with executives to help them create the organizations they envisioned became the passion of Cheryl Jensen and Sara Smith while they were employed in corporate America. This passion led to the creation of C&S Knowledge Company:  a company focused on creating sustainable, positive change for today’s and tomorrow’s workplace.

Cheryl has worked for several Fortune 1000 companies, including IBM, American Airlines, and Frito Lay. Her career included working in the areas of sales, sales operations and management, human resources, and facilities administration.

Ms. Jensen spent 32 years with IBM, including a short time working for IBM business partners. In April 2007, she returned from a year in Europe where she led a major sales culture transformation project, resulting in increased sales of 5X one year later. As a region manager for a services organization, she led an astonishing turnaround within a geography that was losing half a million dollars a month to being second in the country one year later.

Based on her experience as successful sales professional, change agent and leader, Cheryl was selected to join the organization tasked with moving the IBM sales force from product to solution sales. In addition to helping train over 12,000 managers worldwide, she became a certified coach and internal consultant to senior leaders within IBM.

Cheryl has worked with clients in the manufacturing, financial services, telecommunications, travel, hospitality, and retail industries. Her experience ranges from small entrepreneurial organizations to large, corporate environments. Her forthright manner, engaging coach approach, and deep organizational experience help teach each client how to become a more effective leader, team player, and resolve conflict on the firm’s toughest challenges. She also holds a strong belief in creating working environments where everyone can thrive, contribute and enjoy meeting new challenges. Fun is part of what C&S brings to the learning experience.

Cheryl has an Executive MBA from Southern Methodist University, where she and her business partner, Sara Smith, share adjunct professorships in the Cox School of Business. They teach Introduction to Consulting, Leader as Coach, and also serve as Academic Directors of the SMU Executive Education program Women in Motion. Cheryl’s coaching certifications include The Coaches Training Institute and the International Coach Federation. She is certified by the Hay Group on Climate, Leadership styles, and Emotional Intelligence. She serves on the editorial review board for Organizational Dynamics magazine and is an active volunteer for the DFW Legacy Boxer Rescue group.
